The Tribe Inn is more than a place to sleep. It is a basecamp — a warm, well-run home from which to step into one of the most quietly spectacular corners of the Himalaya.

Rakchham sits in the Sangla Valley of Kinnaur, a landscape of glacial rivers, deodar forest, apple orchards and villages that have kept their rhythm for generations. Above it all stretches a night sky so dark and so clear that the Milky Way arrives like weather. It is a place made for experiences that ask you to slow down, look up, and pay attention.

Our expeditions are designed and led by people who live here. Whether you come to trace constellations through a telescope, to greet the sunrise with breath and movement, or to trek high into the meadows and camp beneath the peaks, each experience is small, unhurried and deeply rooted in place. We keep groups intimate, our guides are local, and every journey ends the way the mountains prefer — around a fire, with hot food and good company.
